Construction Liquidations March 2023

Total liquidations slowed by 11 percent y-y in the 1st quarter of 2023, with a total of 411 companies and CC's liquidated. Of these 20 were in the construction sector, and other than a 25 percent increase reported for the month of March 2023, overall construction liquidations declined by 23 percent y-y in the 1st quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year. Voluntary liquidations (in construction) represented 65 percent of total construction liquidations (Jan - Mar 2023), with compulsory liquidations contributing 35 percent. Compulsory liquidations ended flat, with the decline supported by a 32 percent drop in voluntary liquidations.
