Construction Liquidations January 1994 - August 2024

The local construction sector is outperforming against the overall pace of liquidations across all sectors, representing 45 of the 1020 business liquidated in the first eight months of 2024. This is a notable improvement compared to 2023, and although total liquidations also slowed (down 6 percent), the pace of decline was much higher in the construction sector. Voluntary liquidations (in construction) also improved, against a 12 percent increase in total voluntary liquidations across all sectors.
