Construction Liquidations May 2023

Total liquidations slowed by 14 percent y-y in the 1st five months of 2023,  with a total of 674 companies and CC's liquidated. Of these 30 were in the construction sector, and other than a 25 percent increase reported for the month of March 2023, overall construction liquidations declined by 41 percent y-y between January and May 2023 compared to the same period last year. Voluntary liquidations (in construction) represented 73 percent of total construction liquidations (Jan - May 2023) and declined by 48 percent y-y. Compulsory liquidations declined by 11 percent to 8 so far this year.
