Construction Liquidations January 1994 - August 2023

Liquidations in the construction sector increased three-fold in the month of August 2023, off a low base, against a 10 percent y-y decline in total liquidations across all sectors. A total of 60 businesses have been liquidated in the first eight months of 2023 (on average 8 per month) compared to 94 during 2022. On a year to date construction liquidations are still however lower by 13 percent.
