Cement Trade Statistics Dashboard November 2025

Cement imports, mainly via Vietnam, accelerated during the month of November 2025, reaching close to 200 000 tons, the highest volume thus far imported in 2025. With over 1.4 million tons imported in the first eleven months of 2025, imports have grown by 28 percent y-y, compared to the same period in 2024. While import volumes from Vietnam, via Port Elizabeth, declined over this period, imports are growing more rapidly coming into South Africa via Cape Town. Imports are also showing a more robust increase from Mozambique, and still growing by double digit rates from Namibia. Exports from South Africa to neighbouring countries were moderately weaker during the first eleven months, despite the 6 percent y-y increase in November.
