Quarterly Financial Statistics Construction Dataset September 2025

Information related to gross fixed capital formation estimates (GFCF) on construction investment paints a dismal picture for construction with investment levels continuing to decline on a year on year basis. The quarterly financial statistics released for September 2025 however shows a more robust industry, with turnover levels having increased by more than 20 percent y-y in the first three quarters of 2025. This dataset includes more detailed financial information specifically pertaining to the construction sector, that are not only important indicators, but possibly a more aligned indicator with current trends. GFCF data includes the cost of imported machinery and equipment used for construction, that can either over or understate investment levels and possibly even contradict current conditions experienced by contractors. It also provides a breakdown between large, medium and smaller players in the sector. The dataset includes 13 years historical data (from March 2010 - September 2025), and  provides a clearer view on actual turnover in the construction industry, as it excludes the contribution of imported machinery and equipment that is included in the gross fixed capital formation estimates.
