PULSE - Construction sector shines in the 2023Q2 Labour Force survey

In a refreshing turnaround, the construction industry was the star performing sector in the 2^nd quarter of 2023, adding 104 000 jobs to the national construction labour force, or an increase of 8.6 percent q-q to 1 304 000, but with strong provincial differentiation. Expansion was reported in both the formal and informal markets in the construction sector.
