Provincial Construction Pipeline Dashboard October 2022

The construction pipeline is based on private sector building demand and public sector projects out to tender, smoothed over a running 12-month period, and forms the basis for the provincial forecast report.

According to indicators, the annual change in the construction pipeline slowed over the last 12 months up to August, following a more robust increase in 2021 (off the back of the 2020 pandemic). Strong provincial differences are evident, with provinces like Western Cape and Kwazulu Natal outperforming Gauteng and Eastern Cape.
