This dataset includes cumulative infrastructure related capital expenditure by local governments, for each of the nine provinces. It focusses on key departments sensitive to infrastructure spending including housing, health, road transport, energy sources, water management and waste water management. It includes quarterly expenditure against budgets from 2017/18 to 2021/22 as at the 4th quarter of 2022 (June 2022). Please note that capital expenditure by the City of Tshwane was omitted for the 4th quarter 2021/22 due to an internal control system error (that will impact the overall profile of expenditure for the KZN province) and will only be corrected in the 1st quarter of 2022/23 according to feedback received from National Treasury.
