During this period, Gauteng experienced the steepest decline, with values decreasing by an estimated R4 billion. North West Province also saw a decline, along with a slight contraction in the Eastern Cape. Conversely, KwaZulu-Natal was the top performer, recording an 83 percent year-on-year increase to R10.3 billion.
