CRMS Dashboard May 2023

The composite CRMS index lost 9.0 percent m-m in May 2023 to 60.9, following a monthly moderate gain of 0.3 percent in April.  All of the six sub-indices contracted in May, with Non-residential property funds and Contractors showing the steepest declined, down 10.5 percent and 10.2 percent respectively.  The retailers sub-index declined for the 3rd consecutive month, down 1.0 percent, with a 7.6 percent loss in the supplier's index.  82 percent of the companies included in the compilation of the CRMS index, reported weaker market capitalisation values in May 2023, with Calgro the only company that outperformed the rest, up 15 percent as at the end of May 2023.
