Consolidated Local Government Capital Expenditure by province (Selected infrastructure related departments) : 2017/18 - 2022/23 (Q4)

Metro's contributed 32 percent to total aggregated local government capital expenditure in 2022/23, down from 34 percent in 2021/22. 

This dataset includes cumulative infrastructure related capital expenditure by local governments, for each of the nine provinces, as released by National Treasury. It focusses on key departments sensitive to infrastructure spending including housing, health, road transport, energy sources, water management and waste water management. It includes quarterly expenditure against budgets from 2017/18 to 2022/23 as at the 4th quarter of 2022/23 (June 2023).  Please contact our offices for any further information or more detailed expenditure related to specific Metropolitan areas.
