Building Plans Approved Provincial Summary August 2024

The moderate 1.5 percent y-y increase in the number of sqm approved for private sector building construction in August, was supported by a double digit increase in the Western Cape, North West Province, Gauteng and Mpumalanga. The industrial sector shined in August, with approvals having increased two-fold, across seven of the nine provinces.
