
Residential property prices rose by an average of 5.9% year-on-year in April 2025, marking the strongest growth since the first quarter of 2022. The increase was driven by the Western Cape, North West, and Limpopo, with the City of Cape Town leading among the metros. Cape Town recorded an 8-year high, with prices accelerating to an average annual increase of 9% — the highest since 2017 and well above the long-term trend.
