Residential Property Price Index April 2025

Residential property prices increased by an average of 5.9 percent y-y in April 2025, the strongest increase since the 1st quarter of 2022. This increase was led by Western Cape, North West Province and Limpopo. Within the Metros, City of Cape Town has shown the strongest increase in property prices, reaching a 8 year high, as prices accelerated to an annual average increase of 9 percent - the highest increase since 2017, and well above the long term average.
