Increase in Construction Liquidations outpace National average

The number of construction companies liquidated rose 175 percent y-y in September 2025 to 11 companies, increasing the total number of companies in construction liquidated during the first nine months of 2025 up 16 percent y-y to 57. The construction industry is showing a stronger increase by comparison to the national average that increased by less than 4 percent across all sectors.  Compulsory liquidations in construction rose sharply, despite representing less than 20 percent, with a 10 percent increase in voluntary liquidations. This brings the total number of construction companies liquidated over the last 12 months up to September 2025 to 73.
