Estimated Civil Tender Values: April 2026
Civil tender activity during April 2026 remained firmly driven by public sector infrastructure investment, with KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng emerging as the most active provinces. KwaZulu-Natal recorded a particularly strong pipeline of bulk water, stormwater and sanitation projects, including the major Lower Thukela Bulk Water Supply Scheme upgrade, while Gauteng’s activity was dominated by large-scale water pipe replacement and municipal reticulation projects. Mpumalanga also showed strong momentum through Eskom-linked industrial infrastructure and power projects, while the Eastern Cape continued to generate a high volume of smaller municipal road, bridge and sanitation tenders. Overall, the April pipeline reflected continued emphasis on maintenance, rehabilitation and service delivery infrastructure, particularly in the water, roads and energy sectors.
