Construction Labour Force 2022Q2

The construction labour force increased by 9.7 percent (or 104 000) to 1 177 000 in the 2nd quarter of 2022. Compared to the same period last year, the labour force is still lower by 3.7 percent. Formal employment in the construction industry increased by 15.5 percent in the 1st quarter with a marginal 1.5 percent recorded in the informal construction job market. Formal employment represented 62 percent of the labour force market in the 2nd quarter.
