Cement Trade Statistics Dashboard June 2025

Following a three-fold increase to over 110 000 tons in June 2025, imports increased by 40 percent y-y in the first half of 2025 to 646 954 tons. Imports from Vietnam, that contributed 88 percent to total imports into South Africa, increased by 36 percent y-y, with imports from Mozambique and Namibia also on the rise, up by 85 percent and 53 percent respectively. Although the bulk of imports entered via Durban, areas like Cape Town, Komatipoort, Skilpadsnek and Narogas, all recorded higher volumes of imports during the first six months of 2025.
