Preferred Construction Material Supplier and Competitor Survey September 2025

The Preferred Supplier Survey, pioneered by Industry Insight, evaluates the Market Exposure Rate (MER) of key construction material suppliers within the construction industry. MER is used to measure supplier participation in projects based on their exposure to project values rather than sales volumes.

Big-Ticket Awards Signal Momentum Despite Sector Challenges

Despite ongoing challenges, South Africa’s construction industry is showing resilience. August 2025 saw landmark projects move ahead – including WBHO’s R800m Umhlanga residential tower and major road upgrades in Gauteng and Eastern Cape – providing momentum and opportunities for suppliers as tender activity picks up across several provinces.
