Mining Production of Building Materials 2025Q2

Mining of Building Materials edge higher in June 2025, but overall poor performance in 2025 Q2

Mining production levels weakened during the 2nd quarter of 2025, with total production excluding gold haven fallen by 13 percent y-y, following the 4 percent decline in Q1. Production of building materials also contracted, down 10 percent y-y, following the 1 percent contraction in Q1. This is despite the 2.3 percent increase reported for June 2025, supported by a 23.7 percent y-y increase in Granite Sales for the month.
