Cement Trade Statistics Dashboard January 2025

Preliminary estimates show a significant increase in cement imports in January 2025, rising by 90 percent y-y to 182 211 tons. This is the highest volume imported since September 2020 when around 200 000 tons were imported during the Covid period.  Imports increased by 24 percent y-y in 2024 to 1 160 705 tons, representing 13.5 percent of domestic cement production, or 8.4 percent of total estimated supply (imports + domestic) the highest since Covid.
