The construction labour force expanded by 10.8 percent y-y in the 2nd quarter of 2023, with the Western Cape up 73 percent, surpassing Kwazulu Natal as the province with the second highest construction labour force. By comparison the labour force in Gauteng shrunk by 8.5 percent over the last 12 months.
