Cement import volumes fell 51 percent to 55 803 tons in September 2022 compared to August and this was also 63 percent lower compared to the same month in 2021. The bulk of imports continue to come from Vietnam.

Cement imports more than doubled in April compared to March, to 113 448 tons, largely from Vietnam. Overall imports fell by 26.4 percent y-y in the first four months of 2022.
Cement imports declined by 25 percent m-m during the month of March 2022 to just over 51,000 tons, mainly from Vietnam. This was also lower by 38.7 percent y-y compared to the same period in 2021. Overall imports were weaker for the 1st quarter down 32.7 percent.
Cement volumes imported slowed in February by 24 percent to just over 68 000 tons, mainly from Vietnam. Imports in February were also lower by 19 percent y-y compared to the same month in 2021.
