Filters
Scope: Category, Province, Project Type, Product Type, Material Type and CIDB Grade narrow the whole market everywhere on this page, including the trend chart. Year and Month narrow the KPI tiles and every chart except the trend chart at the bottom, which always shows the full Jan 2022 – Dec 2024 (demo) history so the 12-month moving average stays meaningful. Filter by: Producer / Supplier decides whether every chart, table and heading on the page is based on producers or on suppliers (the "Top … by exposure" card always shows the other one, so you can see who sits behind your selection). Producer and Supplier (all are included by default — untick to narrow, and the lists only show those in the selected Category) narrow which rows are drawn (and scope the trend chart to just them) — but every percentage is still calculated against the full scoped market, so a producer's MER% stays a true market share rather than jumping to 100%. The Project Outliers dropdown, set to "Exclude projects > R1bn", removes those few very large projects everywhere (including the denominator) so one outlier can't dominate a value-based %; the KPI tile below always shows how many there are and their share, whether or not you've excluded them. The Unidentified/TBA dropdown, set to "Exclude Unidentified/TBA", removes projects where no producer was identified — everywhere, including the denominator — so MER% can be calculated among identified producers only. The Spatial view map always shows every province and every producer/supplier in the selected Category — it ignores the Province and Producer/Supplier filters and follows the Filter by Producer/Supplier toggle; clicking a province on the map only changes the top 7 chart beside it. The Survey activity history and project lookup sections below are independent of every filter on this page — they always reflect the complete survey.
